Advising and The Raider Plan

The Raider Plan has been developed as an additional way for students who wish to graduate in four years by working closely with their advisors to meet all the requirements for completing their degrees within eight semesters of their initial enrollment. Students who remain on track will be assured that the courses needed for graduation will be available.

All students are invited to participate in the Raider Plan at an orientation meeting held the beginning of their first semester.

To remain eligible for the Raider Plan, students must:

  • Complete an application;
  • Maintain minimum university and department grade point averages and all other university requirements;
  • Consult their advisors when they become aware of academic or other problems that may affect their good standing within the Raider Plan;
  • Successfully complete at least one quarter of the necessary credits for graduation within any 12-month period following initial enrollment;
  • Meet at least once each semester with their advisors; and
  • Meet with their advisors and plan a four-year schedule of coursework that will enable graduation within that time period.

Complete guidelines are listed in the Raider Plan brochure. For more information about the Raider Plan, contact the Office of the Associate Provost at #1148.
