The eight committees of the APB are responsible for planning the events for Shippensburg University and the surrounding community.
Each committee has weekly meetings where they plan their committees events. The chairperson has weekly office hours in CUB 322 for your convenience. If you are interested in any of the following committees, contact the chairperson(s) for more information.

Chairpersons
Concert
This committee is charged with the planning and implementation of all major concerts, which may include music and/or comedy. This committee will actively survey the student body for desired music genres. In addition, this committee shall execute all production aspects for concerts, which may include student staffing, hospitality, security, publicity and promotion, ticket sales, etc.

Cultural Arts
This committee is charged with promoting cultural, artistic and informative programs. These may include lectures, plays, theater productions and musical events such as classical orchestra, operas, etc. The committee's membership may include representation of faculty from various departments on campus who will make recommendations for potential programs for the planning of a diverse series.

Entertainment
This committee is charged with planning evening and weekend programming programs. These programs may include smaller comedians and bands, novelty events and performers. Programs may include battle of the bands, coffeehouse series, etc. In addition, this committee will appoint coordinators for the following campus wide programs:

ii. Orientation
iii. Homecoming

Equipment
This committee is charged with overseeing all equipment requests for all APB events and campus programs held in the Ceddia Union Building (CUB). The committee is responsible for the training of its members on all equipment featured in the CUB, which includes the sound systems in the MPR & Orndorf Theater, portable sound system, audio visual equipment and film and video, etc. The committee will maintain an accurate inventory and any related maintenance and repair issues.

Multicultural Affairs (MAC)
This committee is charged with the planning and implementation of events which highlight various cultures. Programming may include themes on Black History, Latin Heritage and World Cultures. Examples of programs are step shows, social events, comedy and lectures. The committee will work to co-sponsor multicultural programs with other student organizations and departments.

Public Relations
This committee is charged with creating a monthly/semester advertisement specifically for APB events, but will also include campus events when space is available. The committee will be responsiblefor the maintenance of the APB webpage, advertising of events on the CUB's Great Wall, designing and ordering creative promotions, and will work with the student media organizations for the advertisement of APB events. In addition, they will work with each committee to assist with promoting events and distribution of PR materials across the campus.

Spring Fest
Spring Fest is an annual festival held every year in April on the CUB Lawn or indoors if there is inclement weather. Spring Fest is planned each year by the current Vice President. The Spring Fest Chair will hold meetings when needed and coordinate Spring Fest with the other committees and other on-campus organizations.

Travel & Recreation
This committee is charged with planning off campus trips to attractions within the local area, major cities, cultural centers amusement parks and overnight excursions. In addition, this committee is also responsible for providing a recreation series which may include bowling, hiking, skiing, white water rafting, camping, etc.
