Plan B
Preparing Your Plan B

What should I do now to prepare in case I do not successfully complete the summer bridge?

1.  Make sure you have applied to the alternate school you are interested in attending.

2.  Take the appropriate placement testing at your alternate school.

3.  Ensure you have sent your alternate school your financial aid information.

Why is it important that I make plans for not attending Ship ...

The summer bridge program ends August 14 and grades for the summer program will be distributed sometime around August 19th.  Many fall semesters begin as early as August 25th.  If a student does not achieve a “C” grade in either of the two courses they have just completed, they will not be permitted to attend the fall semester at Ship and will have a VERY limited amount of time to start the process of enrollment at another post-secondary institution.  While some students have successfully gotten enrolled at another post-secondary institution in that small amount of time, others have not and had to wait until the spring semester, thus postponing their return to Ship.
