Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center and Murata Business Center have expanded their
partnership. The SBDC will have regular office hours at Murata, a business incubator operated by the Harrisburg
Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corp.  The new office will be open during
regular business hours two days a month, beginning Oct. 23rd and the SBDC will increase their presence as
demand dictates.  The SBDC offers workshops and meets with clients on a regular basis at Murata. An office will
make it easier for Murata clients and other small businesses.

Business Minor

Numerous studies have shown that a high percentage of students, regardless of major, end up pursuing careers in business or careers that require an understanding of business. Non-business majors can pursue a business minor to enhance their program of study, advance their career opportunities, or to prepare for the pursuit of an MBA degree.
