Participated in a three week experience that focused on “Man’s Impact on the Human Environment” and inquiry based field instruction in Costa Rica. Participants conducted field research with scientists working on environmental/biological issues in Costa Rica’s Rainforest. One of 54 teachers selected nationwide to participate during 2000.
   
1999 Fulbright Memorial Fund Teachers Program
Participated in a three week long immersion experience in Japan as part of the Fulbright Program. This experience focused on information about the Japanese culture, land, people, and education system. One of 600 teachers selected nationwide to participate during the 1999 year.
