Pre-Forensic Science Track: Additional Criminal Justice Requirements

The criminal justice courses should be scheduled as needed starting in the sophomore year.  The criminal justice courses are in addition to the courses listed in the above four-year plan.  Starting with the sophomore year, students on the pre-forensic science track should have a minimum of 17 credits per semester.  For example, in the sophomore fall semester, a student has room to schedule a criminal justice course.  The Four Year Credit Total for the pre-forensic science track is 136 credits.

CRJ 100: Intro. to Criminal Justice

CRJ 211: Criminal Law and Procedures

CRJ 309: Theories of Crime and Crime Control

CRJ 336: Intro. to Forensic Science

CRJ 456: Forensic Science: Evidence Analysis

All chemistry majors will take a comprehensive examination in their junior year at a time and place designated by the department. A satisfactory performance in all areas of this examination is a requirement for departmental recommendation and ACS certification.
