**The CHM 4xx: Chemistry Elective class may be taken any semester during the junior and senior years if the course-specific prerequisites are met by the student.  Only one 400 level chemistry course is required for graduation.  If the student does not desire to take two 400 level chemistry courses, a general education/required course can be substituted for either CHM 4xx or CHM 420.

 

All chemistry majors will take a comprehensive examination in their junior year at a time and place designated by the department.  A satisfactory performance in all areas of this examination is a requirement for departmental recommendation and ACS certification.
