Chemistry (B.S.)
This program is designed for students who plan technical careers in industry or government or graduate work in chemistry. 
Chemistry (B.S.) - Health Sciences Concentration
Students seeking preparation in the health sciences including pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-optometry, pre-podiatry, pre-veterinary medicine, pre-pharmacy, and pre-physical therapy may elect the health professions concentration within the chemistry program.
Chemistry (B.S.) - Biochemistry Concentration
Students seeking a preparation in biochemistry may elect the biochemistry concentration within the chemistry program which is designed to prepare students for careers or graduate study in biochemistry and meets the recommended guidelines of both the American Society of Biological Chemists and the American Chemical Society.
Chemistry (B.S.) - Medical Technology Concentration
The Department of Chemistry also offers an optional medical technology concentration in combination with a major in that department.  The student completes the pre-clinical requirements as well as the requirements for the major in chemistry in a four-year period and receives the B.S. degree in chemistry.  Then the student completes the year of clinical education at one of the 14 affiliated hospitals and receives a B.S. degree in medical technology.
Chemistry (B.S.) with Secondary Certification
Students enrolled in this program of study obtain the degree of B.S. with secondary certification. See also Discipline Specific Guidelines.

List of course requirements.

All chemistry majors will take a comprehensive examination in their junior year at a time and place designated by the department.  A satisfactory performance in all areas of this examination is a requirement for departmental recommendation and ACS certification.
