Welcome to the Department of Communication/Journalism

digitalOur primary mission is to prepare well-rounded graduates to be future professionals in the converging fields of mass media.

Our graduate program in Communications Studies focuses on those planning to enhance careers in communications and public relations. The program also provides individuals with a strong base for pursuing doctoral-level study.

Alumnus of the Year

Our 2009 Alumnus of the Year is Joe O'Neill of ABC27 News in Harrisburg. In addition to winning a 2006 Emmy Award, Joe was just named the 2009 Small-Medium Market Photographer of the Year by b-roll.net.

SUMMER SCHEDULING

Scheduling for summer on-line courses begins Monday, March 16th for all students. Use the Extended Studies website to register.

Scheduling for on-campus summer courses will begin Monday, March 16th for graduate students and March 23rd for UG students. Scheduling online via the SIS will be available as follows:


Term III - 3/23 - 4/8
Term IV - 3/23 - 5/4
Term V - 3/23 - 6/3

Summer scheduling may be processed after the above dates by contacting the Registrar's Office.
