The Department of Counseling and College Student Personnel offers accredited programs in College Counseling, Community Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and College Student Personnel. The counselor and college student personnel educators in this department have a wealth of professional experiences to both support and challenge you through your academic and professional preparation journey. We expect high academic rigor and personal growth of our students.
Though I am biased, I would rate our faculty and educational experiences among the top in the nation. Our faculty members bring with them to Shippensburg years of professional counseling and college student personnel experience and utilize that experience plus active learning pedagogies to inspire classroom learning.
