Goals of the AOD Education Series
The goals of the AOD Education Series are to provide students with:

  • Factual, accurate, and practical information regarding alcohol and other drug use that may allow them to make more positive and healthy decisions in the future.

  • A greater awareness of potential risks and consequences of alcohol and other drug use

  • An increased understanding of their own decision-making processes regarding substances and the effect their use may have on themselves, their family and friends, as well as the community in which they live.

In a sense, the AOD Education Series also works as a preventative measure; by addressing those students who have already made the choice to drink and received negative consequences from that choice (i.e. arrests, losing on-campus housing, etc.).
