Register for Early Intervention Group
Since EIG is a level 3 service, typically students will have already completed and paid for the Education Series prior to participating in EIG.
If you have been referred to the Connection Program via the District Judge or Campus Judicial System and you have completed your BASICS screening, you will be notified of your group time, date and location via email and/or mail as soon as an EIG is coordinated based on your class schedule. If you do not hear from the Connection program within 30 days of the completion of your screening, please email Nicki Covey at connectga@ship.edu to inquire about your status.
If you have not been referred to the Connection Program via the District Judge or the Campus Judicial Office you may begin the Connection Program by completing a BASICS screening. You may schedule a screening by calling our secretary, Teresa, at (717) 477-1164. Once having completed the screening, most students will go through each level of the services offered (i.e. Level 1 - BASICS, Level 2 - Education Series, Level 3 - EIG, Level 4 - Professional Assessment). However, there are cases of very high-risk behaviors (i.e. hospitalization due overdose, DUI, etc.) that may result in students benefiting from EIG or a Professional Assessment following the initial screening. Following your BASICS screening, your Connection Staff member will discuss your recommended level of service.
