Garden Initiative
SU has recently started a community organic garden project for faculty and staff as part of a campus well-being initiative. The garden is located on the Adams Avenue Loop near Burd run, and has been divided into 10' x 10' plots. Individuals or groups of faculty and staff can adopt a plot and plant vegetables, fruits or flowers using organic methods.  Dr. Sean Cornell (blue shirt) and
students break ground in April 2009 on the new community garden.
Wellness
benefits of this project include physical activity, production of
healthy food, social interaction and stress management. Interested
faculty can get students involved to learn about organic gardening
methods.
