Dr. Robert O. Neidigh

BIO

Dr. Robert O. Neidigh received his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University in 2006 and is an Assistant Professor in the Supply Chain Management Department at Shippensburg University. His research used a large scale math program to construct a near optimum production schedule in a job shop with nonlinear production rates. The research was based upon a production scheduling problem where he used to work. Dr. Neidigh’s prior work experience included three years as a group leader, ten years as a production supervisor, and one year as a manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing firm in Carlisle. He worked extensively with MRP scheduling, constructed and maintained quality control charts, ordered and maintained inventory levels of raw materials, and determined production routings.

Dr. Neidigh teaches undergraduate courses in Business Statistics, Supply Chain and Operations Management, Applications in Information Management, and Strategic Warehouse Management. He also teaches the graduate course Business Operations & Analysis. Along with a colleague at Shippensburg University, Dr. Neidigh offers a six-week training course in Six Sigma Quality.
