About Studying Abroad

[Overview] [Eligibility] [Myths & Realities] [Reasons] [Locations]

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements are a minimum of 30 credit hours and a GPA of 2.5. Studying abroad is especially appropriate in your sophomore year. This permits you to complete General Education requirements as well as take courses for your major or minor. Consider signing up for the interdisciplinary International Studies minor (See SU catalog). The world is open to International Studies minors who also study abroad.

Study abroad does not necessarily cost more than attending Shippensburg University. Students pursuing any major are welcome to apply, and it is best to begin your planning one year in advance. It truly is the experience of a lifetime.
