SCANNING ELECTRON MICROGRAPHS OF INSECTS AND OTHER ARTHROPODS*

(*WITH A FEW OTHER ORGANISMS AND UNUSUAL SPECIMENS THROWN IN FOR GOOD MEASURE)

This page is a work in progress and will remain under construction until I retire.  The page is organized taxonomically.  I am posting thumbnails of the over 6500 SEM images I have of various organisms, mostly insects, and a few other interesting specimens.  The excel files below are a list of the specimens I have and the images I have taken to date.

Please contact me at gspaul@ship.edu if you would like to see full size images, which are about 3.5MB. All of my images are copyright protected and are my personal property.

****In general, for educational purposes there are no charges for use of my images as long as I am properly notified and credited. However if my images are being used commercially I do charge a fee. I have a simple rule, if you are making money using my image I am making money too!

I am always interested in collaborative work, if you have a project in mind that could benefit from the use of an SEM please contact me. There may be charges for usage depending on the circumstances under which the work is completed.

If you have any "neat" or unusal specimens that you would like to have examined "just for fun" please contact me. I teach a class in Biomicroscopy and I am always looking for interesting projects for my students.

If you notice any errors in identification please let me know so I can correct my records. I did not collect or identify all of these specimens so there may be some errors. Please bear in mind that there are over 6500 images from over 1000 specimens taken over a period of greater than 30 years, if there aren't any mistakes it will be a miracle.
