In a social studies class for fifth grade civics, Ms. Johnson planned a class activity in which students will debate on a public issue within group members first, and then each group will elect a representative to debate the representatives from other groups. Ms. Johnson organized the 25 students of the class into five groups by calling the names alphabetically following the class roster.
