All types of media format
Technology The rule of thumb for selecting media Technology is to make sure what tools are popular to digital learners. Research indicates that games, videos, and social networking are the most engaging media format in recent years. Who knows what will be the next fashionable tool in the near future? The challenge for teachers now and in the future is how to deliver instruction to where students virtually are, and what tools they use to send, receive, and share information. Teachers need to design instructional methods using social networking tools, such as Facebook, Tweeter, HootCourse, or Blog. Game, video, movie, audio, image, social networking, blog, iPod, cell phone, etc.All Web2.0 tools are attractive to digital learners
Resources for
Engaging
The Engaging section is like the “Anticipatory Set” or “Advance Organizer” intended to arouse student curiosity for new knowledge or skills.  So the length of the technology items in this section should be short, focused, appealing, attention-grabbing, around three minutes or less. Video, movie, animation, image, digital story, music, song, poetry, quiz, etc.
Resources for
Teaching
Selecting resources in the Teaching section should follow the basic pedagogical rules, such as differentiating difficulty levels, taking care of scope and sequence issues, expanding knowledge horizons, connecting to previous knowledge, and so forth.   The length of the technology items in this section should be relatively longer, more detailed and comprehensive in content coverage, and easier for students to re-access at school or at home when the class is over, which is the substantial strength of digital learning. Game, video, animation, image, diagram, graphic organizer,  mini lecture, demo, etc.
Resources for
Assessing
Online resources for Assessing usually consist of games or interactive quizzes. Teachers are free to make adjustment using various quiz generators. The length of the technology items in this section depends on the complexity level of the lesson or unit. Students usually use assessing resources when class is over. It is more so with students at a higher grade level. Interactive quiz, game, etc.
