Submitting Assignments

Introduction

Your instructor may require the use of the Assignment Tool for submitting papers and other assignments that instructors can grade. The Assignment Tool can be located in almost any area of the Blackboard course shell but is usually found in the Assignment or Course Document area.

NOTE: Some course sites may have an Assignments area in the left navigation (Course Menu). Do not confuse the Assignments area with the Assignment Tool. The tool will always be attached to a specific assignment and identified with the following icon: Graphic: Assignment Icon

NOTE: The Save button does not send the assignment to the instructor.

  1. When you are sure you are ready to send the assignment to the instructor, click the Submit button. Do not click on the Save button. The Save button only saves your file in the Blackboard platform and allows you to continue to work on the file. The Submit button sends the file to your instructor.
