Assessment Manager

Blackboard’s Assessment Manager creates and organizes quizzes and surveys. Results can be graded and recorded in the online gradebook. Instructors can create an assessment to observe the knowledge and/or skill level of the users enrolled in the course. Assessments can also determine a consensus of thought on a particular subject matter. Blackboard’s Assessment manager can create two types of assessments - quizzes and surveys.
Both quizzes and surveys can include images and have the following types of questions: Some samples applications of using Blackboard quizzes include: self-tests that are automatically graded/evaluated with feedback, quizzes on reading assignments, quizzes on concepts, terms, processes, etc. Some sample applications of using Blackboard’s surveys include: surveying student feedback about each instructional module, mid term/end of course evaluations, prior knowledge/learner analysis survey, etc.

Pool Manager

The Pool Manager Area allows instructors to store questions for repeated use. Pools are course specific although pools from other courses can be imported.
