24 to 48 Hour Turn-Around

Faculty

Are you able to get into Info@ship.edu? or Does your course list STAFF as the instructor? If you are unable to log into Info@ship.edu or the course instructor is listed as STAFF you will not have access to Blackboard. Please contact your programs' secretary if you not listed in the Info@ship.edu system.

Once the problem is corrected and the correct entry appears in the info@ship.edu system, it will take 24 - 48 hours for you to appear in Blackboard.

Students

During the add/drop period it will take 24 - 48 hours for students to appear in Blackboard. If you are unable to view them in your class roster in the Info@ship.edu system, they will not appear in the Blackboard system. During that time, you may want to limit your use of Blackboard and alternately send documents to students via email.

Teaching with Blackboard

Shippensburg University is using the Blackboard Enterprise system. The Enterprise system automatically generates courses and enrolls students in the appropriate course shell. Therefore, if you are scheduled to teach a course, the course shell will be automatically created in Bb. It is your choice to use the course shell or leave it empty. If you decide not to use your course shell, you may want to make the course unavailable. If you are scheduled to teach a course and are listed in the “info” system as STAFF, the course shell will be created, but you will not be in the course as the instructor and will not have access to the course shell.
