Gradebook Symbols
Faculty can track students progress in a quiz or exam by looking in the Gradebook.

Only two of the symbols require special action:
The exclamation mark ! indicates a test has been submitted and the exam needs grading. It could also be an indication that the student went over the allotted time for the quiz.
To view and grade unscored questions:
- Click on the ! exclamation point.
- Click on the View button.
- Read and assign points to the essay/short answer question(s). Check any fill-in-the-blank questions that may be correct but because of a students misspelling were marked incorrectly.
- Submit to update score.
The question mark ? indicates that an error occurred while taking or submitting the exam.
To clear an assessment attempt:
- Click on the ? question mark.
- Click on the View button.
- Click on Clear Attempt button.
- Submit change.
