Uploading Grades
If you use Excel to keep track of your grades you can now upload them into Blackboard with a few cautionary words. The preferred method for uploading your grades is to first download the grade book from Blackboard. The file will be saved as a .cvs format. Don't change the file extension. It should always remain .cvs not .xls or xlsx. It is important to download the gradebook into Excel first so that the names in the spreadsheet are identical to the names in Blackboard. Not following this procedure can cause errors in your gradebook.
Caution: If you use formulas in your Excel gradebook, the formulas will not transfer to the Blackboard platform the grade will be displayed as a number only.
