What's New in Fireworks CS3 (Tour)

New features include more than twenty new effects like blends and shadows, more file formats supported for importing, pop-up menus in CSS , improved image batch processing, and new panels for image editing, autoshape properties and special characters to ease the editing workflow.

Purpose

Why would you use Fireworks instead of Photoshop? Fireworks CS3 was specifically created for use with Internt. The program was designed to give you the ability to easily create graphics, buttons and navigation bars and addresses file compression, behavior and image optimation issues that arise when placing graphics on the Internet. Images can be easily exported to Dreamweaver, Flash and third-party applications.
