Purpose
Adobe Photoshop Elements is used to manipulate scanned and digital
images. Currently, we have Photoshop Elements 4 in our lab. Faculty can use Photoshop to convert files for Web use
or create graphics to enhance your Web pages. There are two versions
available in the lab, Adobe Photoshop CS2 for advanced faculty and
Adobe Photoshop Elements for those faculty who want to create or
manipulate graphics. We offer classes on Adobe Photoshop Elements
only.
What's New: Photoshop Family? CS3 and CS3 Extended and Elements 6
Adobe strived to make the new CS3 more consistant by having a shared interface with Illustrator, In-Design and Flash and they've tried to efficiently use the available space in the workspace area by changing the traditional toolbar to a single column toolbar. But don't worry, with one click you can revert back to the toolbar that you have come to love. Finally, Adobe has streamlined the use of pallets. If you click on the pallette icon, the iconic view will be displayed that includes all the traditional features of Photoshop.
