The Institute for Public Service offers grant search services through the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) electronic database, federal websites, AASCU Office of Federal Program Deadlines and Reports, and the Institute for Public Service grant information library. Services include:
Information dissemination on funding opportunities
Assistance in developing an idea into a workable project
Review of concept papers
Proposal assistance with budget preparation, narrative editing and acquisition of application materials
Compliance verification for federal grant regulations such as human subject protection, animal care and use, conflict of interest disclosure, drug-free workplace, and certifications regarding lobbying, debarment, suspension, and other responsibility matter assurance
Coordination of proposal transmittal sign off by principal investigators,chairs/directors, deans, and provost prior to submission to funding agencies
Budget and contract negotiation with funding agencies on behalf of the university and document review prior to acceptance
Technical assistance in preparing project budgets and identifyingappropriate funding levels
Assistance with reviewing and interpreting funding agency guidelines
Review and interpretation of proposal evaluation comments with proposers
Assistance in the implementation of the project upon approval
Aid in project closeout and final audits
