Annual Conference

Several hundred Pennsylvania educators gather each fall at the annual PCTELA Conference to profit from professional programs to profit from professional programs, panels, discussions, exhibits of books and materials, idea exchanges, guest speakers, and sharing classroom experiences.  There are many opportunities for members to participate as speakers, chairpersons and recorders and assist in conference preparations.

Educators at any level and at any phase of their career, including pre-service teachers, are encouraged to attend and/or present.

 

Conference 2008

Tentative speakers include Kathleen Blake Yancey, NCTE President and author of Teaching Literature as Reflective Practice and Portfolios in the Classroom and Jeff Wilhelm, author of You Gotta Be the Book!

Call for proposals and basic conference information will be posted by January 31, 2008.
Registration forms will be on line by July 15, 2008.

REMEMBER:  PCTELA is an approved provider under ACT 48
The PCTELA Conference is officially recognized by the PA Department of Education
as a professional development opportunity under the provisions of the act.

Registration materials will be mailed during Summer 2008.  Contact PCTELA Executive Director Bob Dandoy to be placed on the mailing list.
