Learning Center Tutors

The Learning Center's professional staff and student tutors are trained and dedicated to helping students with one-on-one tutoring, small group sessions, independent learning skills and writing skills in most general education courses, including English, history, math, modern languages, and many sciences.

Learning Center Graduate Assistantships

The LC provides graduate assistants with a variety of meaningful experiences. All of our tutors spend a portion of their time providing tutorial assistance to students in addition to providing administrative support to professional staff.  Graduate students may (a) provide academic support to students on academic probation,  (b) assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of peer tutors and supplemental instruction leaders (c) or assist with publicity and PR. If you are interested in applying for a graduate assistantship with us, please send a resume, cover letter, and completed application to: Dr. Nanette Hatzes, Director of the Learning Center.

Learning Center Student Receptionist

The student receptionist hired by the Learning Center will be expected to answer telephones, greet students with a welcoming hello, schedule appointments, type, and make copies.

Since the receptionist is the first contact for students, we are always looking for happy, smiling applicants.  We always work around your class schedule when scheduling work hours.
