Welcome!
Welcome to Microcomputer Lab Services at Shippensburg University! The Microcomputer Labs provide a quick, easy, and convenient way for students, faculty and staff to access all kinds of computer services offered on campus.
What is a general purpose lab?
Labs that are maintained by the Computing Technologies Center are open for use by students, faculty and staff. These labs include Grove 106/108, MCT 054, MCT 158, and the computer lab in Ezra Lehman Memorial Library.
There are also many departmental labs on campus. These labs are scheduled and maintained by their respective departments.
Who can use the microcomputer labs?
The five general purpose labs are open to all Shippensburg University students, faculty and staff. Please check the individual lab schedules, as some labs are also used for classes.
When are the general purpose labs open?
During the fall and spring semesters, MCT 054 and MCT 158 are open every day, 24 hours a day, with the exception of days when the university is closed. Other lab schedules vary. Lab schedules may be modified over the summer. Please check the individual lab schedules, as labs are also frequently reserved for classes and therefore may be closed to the public.
What software is available in the labs?
All general purpose labs are equiped with Microsoft Office 2007, Internet Explorer and other standard software. Certain labs, however, may contain other specialized software such as image editing applications and web design software. Please check the individual lab pages for a list of specific software packages available in the labs.
