On Saturday, October 16th, the MIS club took a field trip to Washington D.C.
We were able to secure a van from the University and Dr. Danesh drove us to the metro station. We took the metro into D.C. and first stopped at the Library of Congress.
It was an impressive building and contained a lot of historical documents and a vast digital collection. After taking an interesting tour with the curator,
we were able to explore the mall area and see many other historic buildings. We then went to the National Air and Space Museum. The Museum was eye-opening and had a lot of exciting exhibits.
It was a fun trip and I am sure that the MIS club will continue this new tradition in the future.
