The A. Patrick Charnon Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students who have been accepted to or who are currently enrolled in a four-year college or university. Students who value tolerance, compassion and respect for all people in their communities, and who have demonstrate their commitments to theses values by their actions will be considered for this award. The Evalee C. Schwarz Charitable Trust for Education provides interest-free loans to undergraduate and postgraduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and financial need. You must be a U.S. citizen, have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $4,000 or less and attend school in the state in which you reside. You must also have an outstanding combination of standardized test scores (ranking in the top 10% of scores nationally) and grades. Law students or pre-law students are not eligible to apply.

The HEAR ME Project HIV/AIDS Story Writing Contest is available to students between the ages of 14 and 22. You must submit a story about personal vulnerability to HIV/AIDS. Your story may be up to five pages in length, can be either fiction or non-fiction and the characters in the story must be impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Common Knowledge - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Scholarship, $250 (Deadline: Varies)

The Common Knowledge - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Scholarship is available to high school and college students in the United States . You must watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and answer a series of short multiple choice quizzes about the movie. You receive 500 points for each correct answer and lose 1 point for each second taken to complete each question. The person with the most points at the end is the scholarship winner. The quiz dates are December 17-30 and December 24-30.

FBI Common Knowledge Challenge, $1000 Awards Available (Deadline: Varies)

The FBI Common Knowledge Challenge is available to current high school and college students. The intent of the scholarship is to assist the student in understanding what it means to work for the FBI as an agency and how to choose the agency as a career path. You will participate in a quiz at the CKSF web site during the third week of October (Sunday through Saturday). Quiz questions will come from information found on the FBI web site.
