The Hitachi S2400 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was upgraded to
allow direct capture of digital images. It is connected to both
Dell and Mac PC’s. The 30" Apple Cinema Display LCD monitor
provides optimal viewing area for handling and manipulating images as
well as a platform for preparing posters. The computers support the latest
versions of Adobe imaging software including Photoshop. The Mac also supports
Quark, a powerful graphics design program.
