Derrick Graff Named to All-PSAC Western Division Second Team

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Shippensburg University men's basketball red-shirt sophomore center Derrick Graff (Drexel Hill/Monsignor Bonner) received his first career postseason honor on Tuesday after being named to the All-PSAC Western Division Second Team. He was the lone Red Raider and was one of 10 players named to their first all-conference team.

Graff finished the season fourth on the team in scoring at 13.1 points per game and third in rebounding at 7.5 rebounds per game. However, over the team's final 18 games, he led the team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.3 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Graff finished the season ranked seventh in the PSAC in rebounding and eighth in blocked shots, averaging 1.22 per game. He finished the season with four double-doubles and scored in double figures in 16 of the team's final 18 games, totaling a career-high 32 points at Slippery Rock on February 2 to go along with nine rebounds, just one game after he had 31 points and 11 rebounds at Indiana (Pa.) on January 30.

On February 4, Graff was recognized with a special mention for the PSAC Western Division Player of the Week honor after totaling 63 points and 20 rebounds while shooting 78.1 percent from the field (25-of-32) and 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the free-throw line in games at IUP and Slippery Rock.

For the month of January, Graff averaged 17.8 points and scored 20 or more points three times in nine games while posting two double-doubles.

Shippensburg finished the season with an 8-19 overall record, including 2-10 in the PSAC Western Division after closing its season on a two-game winning streak with home wins over Slippery Rock and IUP who advanced to the PSAC Men's Basketball Championship as the fourth-seed from the Western Division.
