BSW Program
Our BSW program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Our undergraduate program has been in existence since 1974. Since then we have grown to include almost 200 majors studying to become the social workers of the future.

MU-SU MSW Program
MU-SU MSW Program
The joint MSW program between Millersville University and Shippensburg University (MU-SU MSW) is in its third year of operation. This spring we graduated our first class of MSW students with 34 graduates between the two campuses. The program, which includes a combination of videoconferencing, distance education technology and campus based classes, allows students to enroll at the campus of their choice.
The next class will enter SUMMER 2009. We will be enrolling Advanced Standing and Regular Program students on both a full and part-time basis. Application materials are available through each University's Graduate admissions office. We will begin accepting applications in September and continue to accept them until the program is full.
During their February 2008 meeting, the Commission on Accreditation of CSWE voted to grant the MU-SU MSW program a second year of candidacy status. We will be submitting a draft self-study in fall 2008 and, after submitting our full self-study in summer 2009, have our site visit for initial accreditation in fall 2009.
Final approval for initial accreditation is anticipated during the spring of 2010. It will be retroactive to Fall 2006 and will apply to all students who enrolled in the program as of that time.
