This
ensemble is dedicated to expanding the musical horizons of
it's members through performance of exemplary tradition and
contemporary wind band literature. The Concert Band frequently
represents the university with performances on campus and
during the extensive concert tour each spring. Recent tours
include performances in Boston, St. Louis, Virginia Beach,
Chicago, and Walt Disney World. Some concerts have featured
nationally known conductors and soloists such as Anthony Maiello
and Anthony Calabrese. Membership is open by audition to students
with previous wind band experience. Placement auditions are
held late in the fall semester and rehearsals are held in the spring
semester.
