The Shippensburg University Pep Band is a student run organization and is employed by the University. Members must try out for the group in the fall semester and be willing to commit time to performing at home basketball games for the men's and women's team in the spring semester.

      The group consists of about 15-20 students each year and carries to the basketball arena what the marching band offers in the football stadium. The pep band has consistently been one of the most active supporters of Red Raider and Lady Raider basketball and brings their vocal chords along with their instruments.

      Song repertoire is largely the same as the stands tunes for the marching band. Hey Baby!, Let's Go Ship, Get Ready, Land of 1000 Dances, and of course the Raider fan's favorite, The Horse are all included in each game.

      Come on out and cheer the Raiders and Lady Raiders on to victory with the pep band!
