MAP II
Your Decision-Making Style
Making an effective decision is a skill that involves gathering as much information as possible, identifying alternatives, weighing the information, making a choice, and re-evaluating your decision in light of changing circumstances.
Check off the following when you have completed the appropriate task:
_____Attend a Decision-Making Seminar sponsored by the Counseling Center.
_____Consult with your advisor/mentor.
_____If you are having trouble making a choice, see a counselor to discuss what is holding you back (Counseling Center, Wright Hall, x. 1481).
IMPORTANT:The more time and effort you devote to understanding yourself, the World of Work, your academic options, your career possibilities, and your decision-making style, the easier it will be for you and your academic advisor to select next semester's classes in November. Moreover, when you finally select your major, you will be more satisfied with your decision. Throughout this whole process, the grades you earn remain critically important: REMEMBER: THE BETTER YOUR GRADES, THE MORE OPTIONS YOU'LL HAVE! |
Please call the Division of Undeclared Majors at 717-477-1395 for further assistance.
