Dr. Brian Wentz, PMP, is a professor of Information Systems and Analytics. His research interests focus on HCI, accessibility, usability, inclusion, and the intersection of technology with public policy and law.
He has extensive experience in the technology field and expertise in accessibility and usability. He regularly collaborates with researchers at the Maryland Initiative for Digital Accessibility (MIDA), and his academic background includes advanced degrees in information systems, information techonlogy, and law. Prior to becoming a faculty member, he spent over eight years in industry positions, earning a variety of professional certifications. He regularly teaches courses such as Project Management, Information Security, and Business Analytics.
Outside of the classroom, he is an avid beekeeper which has also involved him in research related to accessible beekeeping. Students are always encouraged to stop by his office to sample honey varieties or simply to chat.
