Dr. C. George Boeree

Foundations of Psychology provides you with an overview of the field of psychology, focussing especially on providing you with some familiarity with the basic terms and theories, as well as with some of the latest research.  Although it is primarily a lecture course, I would like to encourage you to ask questions and make comments in class.  Welcome!

Text:  There is no physical text for this course.  All the chapters you will need are available by clicking on the links below.  They will take you, as if by magic, to the appropriate materials.  It is always best to read the assigments before class.

Grades: Your grade will be based on the total number of correct answers on four multiple choice tests, plus a 10% grade based on attendance.  There may be opportunities to participate in faculty or student research, for which points may be awarded.  Be careful:  I do not provide other extra credit projects, so take each test seriously.  Also note that if you miss a test, nothing less than an official excuse will get you a makeup.
