Equipped with a map of the park and their cameras, students spread out across the Gettysburg National Military Park to capture all this historical land mark had to offer. Gettysburg is filled with inspiration for works of art with it's proudly displayed monuments and memorials. President Abraham Lincoln found the events that took place there inspiring enough to write one of the most recognizable speeches in United States history, "The Gettysburg Address." The Battle of Gettysburg only took place over three days but is known as the civil war's bloodiest battle due to the high number of casualties. It became the turning point in the war and will forever go down in United states history. Aside from the rich history, the park also has a vast amount of open fields filled with natural settings that show off the beauty of Pennsylvania. All of these factors came together to provide breathtaking photography opportunities that the students would not have been able to capture in the class room.

The course of the trip was documented in order to observe the student's process. Also to show the opportunities provided during the trips off campus.
