Brief Overview
Professor Whiteley teaches Portfolio Design, Graphic Design cources, and Special Topics cources such as Typography and Digital Printing at Shippensburg University. He is also the faculty advisor for the art departments publication, Visivo. It is a magazine where students work on all aspects of this magazine from the theme to the design, photography and printing.
He earned a MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and from there became a Designer. During his time as a design, he acquired capabilities in conceptual visual design, pedagogical strategies, market positioning, and business to business selling in domestic and foreign markets. His comprehensive experience in management resulting in increased profitability, cost reductions, containment and stability through traditional and new media delivery systems of over 1800 visual communication projects. Selected works have been produced in one or more languages and have been distributed in countries in Europe and Asia. After accomplishing all this he became an art educator to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
