"Many schools have a class devoted to printing out artwork you have created on the computer or printing out just plain old pictures. This class offers much more insight that not only can help you produce a great piece but could also give you the edge over other competitors when you are looking for a job. There is much more to art then designing it on a computer. The printing part of it is HUGE aspect that many schools neglect to dive into."- Brian P.

"I had recently bought a DSLR camera and had been experimenting with photography when Professor Whiteley had mentioned the new class he was going to teach." - Lauren C.

"I signed up for this course to further my knowledge on fine art printing and digital photography in the art world." - Roderick H.

"I wanted to learn the professional way to showcase you digital artwork and how using better printers and papers can help your art work in so many ways." - Samantha W.

What was your favorite part of this course?

"I think I’d have to say getting out and taking photographs and being able to see the shot that you really found interesting turn out just as you expected it to." - Ashley W.

"Printing the work is very exciting. Once you have the paper and the picture you really have no idea exactly how it is going to turn out until it prints. Then once you print it feels outstanding to see your work be on paper." - Brian P.

"Printing an image you’ve spent hours of work on to see it come out to a perfect print. That is the best experience you could have!" - Chris M.

"Although I enjoy processing, my favorite part is seeing the print fresh out of the printer." - Lauren C.

"The dynamic features it has where it alows us to do "in-class" work but also being able to expand to out of the classroom." - Montrell F.

"It teaches you that there is a difference between a photographer that has not had training and one that has mastered their craft. Anyone can pick up a camera and shoot an image. It is an artist that can develop that image until it is printed in a way that is gallery worthy." - Sarah B.

How will preparing your work for an exhibition benefit you?

"By knowing how to prepare the images, it makes them look professional that in itself allows for preparation and readiness of showing work to future employers." - Ashley W.

"In order for you to be able to have your work prepared for the exhibition you need to go through a process. The same idea can be said about working. Where ever you go there is most likely a series of steps you need to do to accomplish whatever task is assigned to you." - Brian P.

"It showed me a professional way of preparing my work and this will reflect how I present my work in the future and to other professionals in the industry." - Chris M.

"Presentation is always everything. No matter what you are preparing to present, it has to look good and be the star of the show. Preparing work for an exhibit is exactly this, people are going to view it and critique, and if they don’t like the presentation they will say something and it could possibly change their opinion of the image itself." - Sarah B.
